Hillel Jewish University Center of Pittsburgh (JUC) and the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh announced a new campus ambassadors program that will take 10 University of Pittsburgh students to Israel to learn skills to become campus peer educators. Brown-RISD Hillel expanded its programming following the December 2025 mass shooting at Brown University to provide Jewish students with support and community. Rabbi Josh Bolton, Brown University’s interim associate chaplain and executive director of Brown-RISD Hillel, said that Jewish campus leaders knew they needed to “create opportunities for reflection and mourning,” as well as spaces for “joy and celebration.”

American University suspended its Students for Justice in Palestine chapter through 2027 after the student group violated university policies, including its anti-discrimination code. The university said the chapter was previously on probation.
