Filing with OCR
(if you choose this path)

• Complaint is filed against the university (not individuals)
• Must generally be submitted within 180 days
• You do not need to be the direct target to file

What happens next?
OCR reviews the complaint and may investigate.

If a violation is found, the school must take steps to address and prevent discrimination
(e.g., policy changes, training, restoring access to learning environment)
