Clemson University’s first professionally staffed Hillel will open this fall, expanding Jewish programming, support, and leadership opportunities for its growing community of Jewish students. Jewish student participation at Clemson has increased fivefold in recent years, with an estimated 500 Jewish undergraduates now on campus. “Clemson’s growing Jewish student community deserves a professionally staffed Hillel that can provide Jewish students their fuller opportunities for Jewish joy, pride, and leadership,” said Hillel International President and CEO Adam Lehman.

University of Arizona Hillel reported that an individual threw an object at the Hillel building over the weekend, cracking a large glass window and damaging a smaller window. Tucson police and University of Arizona police opened an investigation and Arizona Hillel is increasing its security measures following the incident.

Missouri lawmakers passed legislation that requires the state’s K-12 schools, colleges, and universities to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s framework definition of antisemitism and include clear rules against antisemitic harassment in their conduct codes. Ohio State University Hillel and Columbus Jewish Family Services partnered to host a luncheon connecting students with Holocaust survivors following a powerful trip students took to Poland with Hillel. Hillel JUC Students Head to Israel for New Campus Ambassadors Program
Hillel Jewish University Center of Pittsburgh (JUC) and the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh announced a new campus ambassadors program that will take 10 University of Pittsburgh students to Israel to learn skills to become campus peer educators. Organizers say the trip and pre-departure workshops will equip students with knowledge, skills, and confidence to speak about Israel and counter antisemitism on their campuses.
Brown-RISD Hillel Offers Increased Support After 2025 Campus Shooting
Brown-RISD Hillel expanded its programming following the December 2025 mass shooting at Brown University to provide Jewish students with support and community. Rabbi Josh Bolton, Brown University’s interim associate chaplain and executive director of Brown-RISD Hillel, said that Jewish campus leaders knew they needed to “create opportunities for reflection and mourning,” as well as spaces for “joy and celebration.”
