More than 150 students, university administrators, elected officials, faith leaders, and community members gathered at the University of Oregon Hillel for a Shabbat celebrating Jewish community and resilience. The gathering came after antisemitic flyers were posted around campus targeting Hillel’s Executive Director Lenny Steinberg and calling for Hillel’s removal from campus. Oregon leaders, including U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, Rep. Val Hoyle, and University President John Karl Scholz, joined students to show their support for Jewish life on campus.

Several People Injured After Reported Antisemitic Attack in Boulder, Colorado
A fire-bomb attack in Boulder, Colorado today targeted a walk in support of the remaining hostages in Hamas captivity. A man yelling, “Palestine is Free,” threw incendiary devices into the group, injuring several people, some of them severely. The Boulder Police Department and the FBI are investigating the attack as a possible act of terror. The suspect is in custody.

Hillel International’s “Ripples of Resilience” wellness grant-making initiative has supported nearly 18,000 students across 65 campuses, offering wellness grants that support mental health and community building. Former Harvard Hillel Student President and Crimson Editor Reflects on Bridging Campus Divides
Jacob Miller, a 2025 graduate of Harvard University, served as both president of Harvard Hillel and chair of The Crimson’s Editorial Board. In his recent op-ed, Miller recounted the challenges he faced following the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack, including feelings of isolation due to campus incidents and antisemitism. MIT Class President Barred from Graduation After Misleading Officials and Giving Speech Accusing Israel of ‘Genocide’
Megha Vemuri, the 2025 class president at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), was prohibited from attending her graduation ceremony after delivering a speech at a different commencement event that criticized MIT’s ties to Israel and labeled Israel’s actions in Gaza as “genocide.” The university stated that Vemuri had misrepresented the content of her speech during the approval process, leading to her exclusion from the ceremony.
