Vanderbilt University says it launched a formal inquiry after a mathematics instructor used a class example framing Israeli control of certain land as a calculus problem, prompting criticism for allegedly injecting bias into the lesson. The university removed the question from course materials and says it is reviewing the matter under its professional‑conduct policies.

Jewish college students say a group confronted and harassed them during a Hillel-affiliated gathering at a café near DePaul University in Chicago, with students and witnesses reporting chants, intimidation, and a physical altercation. Chicago police and the university launched investigations into the incident, with the café denying the accusations and saying it does not tolerate bullying or discrimination.

American Jewish Committee (AJC) and Hillel International released new data showing that 42% of Jewish college students report experiencing antisemitism on campus, yet remain deeply involved in Jewish life and leadership. Adam Lehman, president and CEO of Hillel International, said that even amid harassment, Jewish students “are working to make their campuses the kind of places that they believe they deserve.”

University of Arizona Hillel reported that an individual threw an object at the Hillel building over the weekend, cracking a large glass window and damaging a smaller window. Tucson police and University of Arizona police opened an investigation and  Arizona Hillel is increasing its security measures following the incident.

Missouri lawmakers passed legislation that requires the state’s K-12 schools, colleges, and universities to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s framework definition of antisemitism and include clear rules against antisemitic harassment in their conduct codes. Supporters say the measure protects Jewish students and responds to an ongoing trend of rising incidents.

Brown-RISD Hillel expanded its programming following the December 2025  mass shooting at Brown University to provide Jewish students with support and community. Rabbi Josh Bolton, Brown University’s interim associate chaplain and executive director of Brown-RISD Hillel, said that Jewish campus leaders knew they needed to “create opportunities for reflection and mourning,” as well as spaces for “joy and celebration.”
